The sounds of footsteps could be heard walking around the room. Sara could tell someone was next to her side, and waiting. The smell of morning came into her nostrils. Her eyes began to regain their senses from the night, and slowly her other sensations came to. She heard her breathing was deep. Sara finally sat up, and realized she was in a bed at Eggman’s fortress. She then remembered the following night and how she had staggered back to her bedroom, plopping onto the bed. Her hand reached up to her head where she felt the new bandage wrapped around her head.

They were in the basement, which Chuck had customized into a laboratory. Specialized equipment was everywhere. Sara didn’t know what any of it did or for the matter what they were. Chuck put a bandage around the area of insertion, and then set the DNA of Sara’s onto a slide for a microscope. Shadow was over in the corner watching the whole operation.
